Exploration of Marine | National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium
Axis3D partnered with the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium to create the “Exploration of Marine” exhibition. Using immersive technologies such as submarine simulators, deep-sea lighting, and robotic arms, the exhibition offered visitors a multi-sensory experience of the ocean’s hidden depths.
Client Background
The National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, located in Pingtung, is Taiwan’s leading marine-themed museum. Combining physical exhibitions with digital technologies, it is dedicated to marine education, conservation, and research, while providing engaging and educational visitor experiences.
Client Needs
To present the deep-sea environment and human exploration history through innovative displays, and to transform complex scientific research into an interactive and accessible experience for the public.
Our Solution
Axis Technology combined interactive installations, deep-sea simulations, and hands-on experiences to deliver a narrative-driven exhibition:
Submarine Simulation – Operate consoles and searchlights to reveal sea life.
Deep-Sea Environment – Lighting and animation recreate extreme conditions.
ROV Sampling – Control a robotic arm to simulate specimen collection.
Research Showcase – Display of ROVs, imaging, satellite data, and archives.
Treasure Hunt – Immersive game exploring a fictional deep-sea mission.
